Synopsis

Axel is an employee of a call center who is used to complaints from his clients and an unbearable boss. Axel has a natural talent for dealing with people and their problems. But one day everything changes, when he receives a call from Figueroa Mont, a frustrated client who wants to unsubscribe. Fed up with the bureaucracy of the companies, Figueroa warns Axel that he is watching him through a telescopic sight attached to a high-precision rifle and that if he does not solve the problem, he will blow his head off.

Gender Representation

Fair

The central conflict revolves around a male protagonist and a male antagonist. A lack of visible female agency in the primary plot limits gender diversity.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Fair

Strengths

  • Offers a progressive critique of capitalism and oppressive corporate bureaucracy.
  • Challenges traditional hero tropes by focusing on systemic entrapment and alienation.

Areas for Improvement

  • Lacks visible female agency within the primary narrative conflict.
  • Provides no explicit representation of LGBTQ+ identities or non-heteronormative dynamics.
  • Offers no information regarding disability or neurodivergent representation.

AI Analysis

Targeted functions primarily as a systemic critique of late-stage capitalism rather than an exploration of identity politics. The story centers on the dehumanization found within modern bureaucratic systems. While the film lacks overt representation regarding gender and sexual orientation, it gains merit through its anti-institutional stance. It challenges the stability of corporate structures by framing the struggle as an encounter with an indifferent machine. Ultimately, the film prioritizes a critique of institutional authority over character-driven identity exploration, resulting in a moderate diversity profile.
