AI Analysis

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid is a sophisticated exercise in postmodernism that deconstructs genre rather than social hierarchies. While it successfully parodies the noir aesthetic, it intentionally replicates the demographic limitations of mid-century Hollywood. The film's strength lies in its meta-fictional pastiche and comedic timing. However, this commitment to historical accuracy in its parody results in a lack of progressive representation. Ultimately, the work prioritizes the aesthetic of the past over the deconstruction of its values, leading to a low score in intersectional diversity.
