AI Analysis
Are You Here is a genre-driven horror film that prioritizes supernatural tropes and economic desperation over identity-based storytelling. The narrative follows a group of business partners facing a metaphysical threat, which keeps the focus on plot mechanics rather than social representation. The ensemble provides a platform for professional roles, but the film does not demonstrate intentionality in disrupting social hierarchies or exploring diverse lived experiences. It adheres to a traditional structure where the central conflict is external and paranormal. Ultimately, the film lacks the documented presence of LGBTQ+ or disability representation. While it features a female catalyst and a culturally specific setting, it does not move beyond standard genre conventions to achieve progressive representation.
