New Showbiz Analysis

Vampyres is a genre-driven horror film that emphasizes atmosphere and suspense over social commentary. It relies heavily on established supernatural clichés without challenging systemic hierarchies. While the film places older women in powerful roles, this is driven by the vampire mythos rather than a deeper exploration of gender roles. The demographic makeup and thematic scope remain largely conventional.
