New Showbiz Analysis

Restless Souls primarily follows traditional Western horror conventions. The narrative relies on conventional romantic structures and a homogeneous cast, limiting its cultural and racial diversity. However, the film subverts traditional gender roles by giving female characters significant supernatural abilities, moving them to the forefront of the investigation. While the use of psychic abilities hints at neurodivergence, the film's overall impact is limited by its adherence to established genre clichés and a lack of diverse representation.
