Wild Girls Gone primarily serves as a character study focusing on female autonomy. The film successfully disrupts traditional domestic roles through Doreen’s journey of self-reclamation and political subversion. However, the narrative lacks broader multi-layered depth, focusing mainly on marital and political power dynamics rather than a systemic critique of social structures. Additionally, the film lacks visible representation of LGBTQ+ identities, racial diversity, and characters with disabilities.
