New Showbiz Analysis

Sleeping With My Student operates within the conventional boundaries of the domestic thriller genre, prioritizing high-stakes suspense and personal retribution over the exploration of multi-layered identities or systemic social critiques. The narrative relies heavily on established clichés, such as the single mother cliché and male-driven vendetta, keeping the story centered on individual grievances rather than broader sociopolitical commentary. Ultimately, the film lacks the intentionality required to disrupt social hierarchies, resulting in a homogeneous and traditional storytelling experience.
