New Showbiz Analysis

The film operates as a genre-driven thriller centered on psychological obsession and the erosion of institutional authority. Its narrative structure prioritizes the breakdown of interpersonal boundaries over social representation. While the film avoids idealized depictions of the nuclear family, it fails to engage with meaningful multi-layered depth. The lack of LGBTQ+ representation, racial diversity, and disability inclusion contributes to its lower score. Ultimately, the subversion is psychological rather than social, focusing on the instability of the teacher-student hierarchy and domestic life.
