Fear, anger, sadness, joy, disgust, envy, shame. Adaś Miauczyński goes back to his childhood days when, like most of us, he used to find it problematic to name the emotions that accompanied him. To improve the quality of his adult life, he decides to return to that time – which proves not so carefree after all – to learn how to experience the seven basic emotions. This extremely unpredictable journey into the past features an abundance of hilarious, even comical, situations but is also filled with lots of touching moments and food for thought.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film functions as a personal character study focused on the protagonist's internal landscape. It lacks LGBTQ+ characters and does not engage with non-heteronormative identities.
Gender Representation
The narrative critiques traditional masculinity by portraying the male lead as emotionally stunted and socially ineffective. However, it does not explicitly center female agency or subvert gender hierarchies.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The cast is highly homogeneous, reflecting a specific urban Polish milieu. There is no evidence of racial or ethnic diversity within the primary characters.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The story prioritizes subjective psychological truth over religious or moral frameworks. It explores existential neurosis through a postmodernist lens rather than adhering to standard societal norms.
Disability Representation
While no physical disabilities are featured, the protagonist's struggle with emotional regulation suggests neurodivergence. The film treats his psychological instability as a central plot driver.

AI Analysis
7 Emotions is a deeply introspective work that prioritizes psychological complexity over demographic breadth. It succeeds in deconstructing traditional masculine archetypes by presenting a protagonist defined by social awkwardness and emotional failure rather than competence. However, the film remains a highly localized and homogeneous production. The narrative focus is strictly internal, which results in a lack of intersectional representation and a narrow demographic scope. Ultimately, the film is a specialized study of individual neurosis. It offers depth in its exploration of the human psyche but lacks the intentional diversity required for a broader social perspective.
