A treasure buried on an island of the Antilles. A pirate without a straight leg, without a boat, treacherous and bloodthirsty and without the treasure map. A baroness flamboyant, unscrupulous, praying mantis, penniless, but with a boat. A young man without fear and without brains, but with the treasure map engraved somewhere in his failing memory. A doctor without drinking, providential specialist of failing memories and other atypical amnesia ... It is this dream team that sails anchor one morning in the year of grace a thousand and seven hundred and a few, towards the treasure island and its coves of pink sand.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The narrative lacks explicit depictions of LGBTQ+ identities or same-sex intimacy. While the group of outcasts allows for non-normative social structures, there is no overt queer coding present.
Gender Representation
The Baroness disrupts traditional hierarchies by providing the group's material agency through her boat. She is characterized as flamboyant and unscrupulous, contrasting with the deficiencies of her male counterparts.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The Antilles setting provides a geographical context that moves away from Anglo-centric narratives. This Caribbean backdrop suggests a world where non-white agency is central to the environment.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film centers on a 'dream team' of social outliers and unreliable characters. This focus on moral relativism challenges singular, virtuous morality in favor of subjective, situational ethics.
Disability Representation
Physical and cognitive differences are integrated into the core character dynamics. A pirate with a missing leg and a doctor specializing in amnesia possess significant agency within the group.

AI Analysis
Alain Berbérian’s adventure subverts traditional heroic archetypes by centering a cast of flawed, unconventional individuals. The film moves away from the 'stable male leader' trope, instead favoring a fragmented social structure of outcasts. The production excels in integrating physical and neurological differences into the primary character arcs. By making disability a core component of the protagonists' identities, the film avoids treating these traits as mere plot devices. While the Caribbean setting implies a diverse world, the lack of explicit character details regarding race or LGBTQ+ identity limits the depth of representation in those specific areas.
