New Showbiz Analysis

Žika's Marriage is a situational comedy set in the social frameworks of early 1990s Yugoslavia. The narrative prioritizes interpersonal deception and comedic clichés over the exploration of diverse identities. The film's structure revolves around a male-centric pursuit of marriage through international advertisements. Despite its global reach, the representation remains focused on traditional romantic and social hierarchies. Ultimately, the work functions as a localized character study, relying on conventional comedic setups rather than challenging social norms.
