Alex and Max are two "bachelors" who share the same house: Alex, advertising copywriter, is boxing, is an impenitent dongiovanni and does not hesitate to betray his colleague and girlfriend Paola; Max, saxophonist, neglects his ulcer and is attracted, yes, but also scared, by women. The meeting with the chorister Anna at a recording session gives birth to a relationship that she would like to realize in a cohabitation that frightens the other. Meanwhile, Alex, between an adventure and the other, waits for the call of the only woman for whom he spits, Eleonora, who is undecided whether to leave for him the man to whom he is bound, exasperates him in a frustrating way. The father of Alex then, Dante, who has a relationship with a young woman, called Chicca, asks in vain to his son to act as a peacemaker with her, who has left him. Anna.

LGBTQ+ Representation
The film centers on heteronormative romantic pursuits and the 'dongiovanni' trope. There is no evidence of non-cisnormative identities or narratives that critique traditional relationship dynamics.
Gender Representation
The narrative reinforces traditional gender hierarchies through male archetypes of pursuit and avoidance. Female characters like Paola appear primarily as objects of romantic interest or targets of betrayal.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Religious & Cultural Diversity
The film explores individualistic pursuit and personal dysfunction within a conventional framework. It avoids religious moralizing but does not actively challenge Western institutions or systemic structures.
Disability Representation
Max's ulcer serves as a character quirk or plot device rather than a meaningful exploration of disability. There is no significant representation of neurodivergence or physical disability.

AI Analysis
Uomini senza donne is a conventional character comedy that adheres to the established social archetypes of the mid-1990s. The narrative architecture prioritizes traditional masculine tropes, specifically the 'bachelor' lifestyle, through the characters of Alex and Max. The film operates within a standard heteronormative framework, focusing on individual interpersonal conflicts like infidelity and romantic hesitation. It lacks an intentional effort to disrupt gender hierarchies or incorporate intersectional identities. Ultimately, the work functions as a secular, character-driven comedy that stays within a traditional European comedic structure without engaging in systemic or cultural deconstruction.
