The film prioritizes psychological tension and the deconstruction of professional ethics over demographic diversity. It functions as a character study of an unreliable official rather than a vehicle for identity politics. While the film falls short in meeting progressive standards regarding racial, gender, and LGBTQ+ diversity, it offers a sophisticated critique of institutional authority. The narrative explores the erosion of boundaries within the parole system. Ultimately, the work focuses on individual moral decline. It succeeds in subverting the 'protector' archetype but remains limited in its social and demographic scope.
