New Showbiz Analysis

The film critically examines domestic hierarchies and the social invisibility of women. By focusing on Julie's struggle to be recognized beyond her roles as mother and maid, the story effectively engages with gendered power dynamics. However, the narrative's scope seems limited in terms of broader diversity. Without evidence of LGBTQ+ characters, racial diversity, or disability inclusion, the film remains centered on a specific, straight-centered domestic framework. Ultimately, the work successfully subverts traditional fairy tale clichés to explore contemporary social alienation, even though it does not encompass a wide range of diverse identities.
