Earth Summit Mission is a technical, observational documentary designed to record scientific milestones on Mount Qomolangma. Because its primary purpose is the documentation of empirical data and institutional achievement, it does not engage with social identity or the overlapping aspects of identity. The film lacks narrative drivers related to gender, race, or sexual orientation, focusing instead on the technical aspects of the 2022 expedition. It serves as a record of national scientific endeavor rather than a medium for social commentary. Ultimately, the low diversity score reflects the film's genre. It prioritizes the mastery of harsh environments and scientific progress over the exploration of diverse human identities or the disruption of cultural hierarchies.
