Freeway Killer follows a traditionalist path typical of mid-budget crime thrillers. The narrative focuses on the tension of a serial killer hunt rather than exploring identity or systemic power dynamics. The film relies on established genre clichés, such as the 'charming' predator and the closing-in police force. This structure reinforces a moral binary rather than offering nuanced character studies. Ultimately, the work lacks the intentionality needed to disrupt social hierarchies, functioning instead as a standard procedural investigation within a conventional framework.

Official Synopsis
For years he terrorized California motorists as he rode the endless highways searching for his next victim. The discarded bodies turned up beaten, sexually assaulted and horribly mutilated. Deceptively charming and intelligent, the scheming murderer easily avoided police at first. But as police closed in and the killer’s pattern grew more erratic, the only question was how many more will die?
