AI Analysis
The film's primary strength is its portrayal of female agency. By centering a woman as a central political authority in a medieval setting, it disrupts common tropes of female passivity. While the film adheres to the historical constraints of the 11th century, it offers a nuanced look at leadership. The narrative successfully moves from personal tragedy to significant statecraft. However, the film remains rooted in traditional historical structures. It lacks representation of LGBTQ+ identities and does not address disability, reflecting the specific focus of its biographical epic.
