I Don't Fire Myself offers a character-driven look at professional ability to act. By centering on a woman's struggle within a subcontracting environment, the film moves away from domestic clichés to highlight workplace ambition and persistence. The film's strength lies in its critique of systemic labor hierarchies. It provides a nuanced view of how individuals navigate indifferent corporate structures and the social friction inherent in field work. However, the narrative lacks explicit representation for LGBTQ+ identities or disability. The focus remains strictly on professional and social integration within a culturally specific, largely homogeneous setting.
