The film is a traditional psychological horror that emphasizes the mechanics of a supernatural haunting rather than exploring social issues. While it centers on a female protagonist, the narrative stays within established genre boundaries. The story lacks multi-layered complexity and does not engage with diverse racial or ethnic backgrounds or LGBTQ+ identities. Ultimately, the film functions as a focused character study of fear without addressing broader societal or cultural critiques.
