Brother is a localized, character-driven drama that prioritizes intimate storytelling over addressing multiple aspects of identity. While it offers a non-Western perspective through its Georgian setting, the narrative remains narrow in its scope of identity. The film's structure revolves around traditional masculine stereotypes and the relationship between two brothers. This focus limits the presence of diverse voices and gender perspectives. Ultimately, the work functions as a historical period piece that explores cultural tension rather than challenging social hierarchies. It lacks the diverse casting or varied identity politics needed for a higher score.

Set in Tbilisi, Georgia, the film provides a non-Western cultural backdrop. However, the portrayal seems to focus on a specific, potentially homogeneous Georgian experience.
