AI Analysis

This 1991 family comedy follows a traditionalist trajectory, prioritizing a standard nuclear family structure and conventional domesticity. The narrative lacks intentional efforts to subvert social hierarchies or include intersectional identities. The film relies on established tropes of the era, focusing on a suburban experience that offers little cultural or racial disruption. While the mother is a central character, the plot remains anchored in male-driven agency and paternal restoration. Ultimately, the film functions as a safe, mainstream comedy that reinforces existing social and capitalist norms rather than challenging them.
