Indradhanura Chhai is a socially conscious drama that centers on the lives of three generations of women. By focusing on a widow, an elderly aunt, and a young woman, the film shifts away from typical patriarchal storytelling to explore female subjectivity. The narrative uses these personal journeys to examine broader sociological shifts, specifically the friction between rural traditions and the encroaching influence of urbanization. This creates a study of how personal grief and changing social values intersect. While the film excels in gender-centric storytelling, it lacks representation for LGBTQ+ identities or characters with disabilities. It remains a localized study of regional Indian life and generational transitions.
