Jessica-Jane Stafford holds a top-billed role, suggesting female agency. However, it is unclear if the film subverts gender hierarchies or relies on established genre archetypes.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

  • The film provides no documented evidence of characters with visible or invisible disabilities.
  • Gender roles remain ambiguous and may simply adhere to established genre archetypes.

AI Analysis

Are We Dead Yet distinguishes itself through a diverse casting ensemble that challenges the demographic expectations of the horror-comedy genre. The presence of a multicultural cast helps break the historical homogeneity typically associated with secluded castle settings. However, the film's representation is uneven. While racial diversity is a clear strength, the narrative lacks visible evidence of LGBTQ+ or disability representation. The gender dynamics also remain ambiguous, as it is unclear if female characters possess true agency or merely fill genre roles. Ultimately, the film offers a moderately progressive profile. It succeeds in disrupting racial norms but fails to provide verifiable depth in other key areas of identity and representation.
