AI Analysis
Extreme Measures is a character-driven thriller that prioritizes the deconstruction of institutional ethics over demographic variety. The film succeeds in its postmodern skepticism, challenging the perceived moral superiority of Western medical and carceral systems. It effectively frames scientific progress as a potential justification for systemic exploitation. However, the film remains tethered to traditional cinematic norms of its era. The homogeneous casting and male-centric hierarchy limit its intersectional depth. By centering authority within a patriarchal professional structure, the narrative misses opportunities to include diverse perspectives in the ethical debate.
