Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film focuses on survival and psychological trauma rather than identity. It lacks explicit queer characters or critiques of heteronormativity, maintaining a neutral but limited scope.
Gender Representation
Characters avoid submissive feminine archetypes, instead engaging in high-stakes survival. However, the narrative does not use gender to disrupt traditional hierarchies or offer social critique.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The ensemble reflects a multi-ethnic collegiate environment. While it avoids deep metaphorical explorations of ethnicity, the diverse casting prevents a homogeneous feel.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The story operates within a secular, scientific framework centered on medical experimentation. It avoids religious morality, focusing instead on clinical error and systemic failure.
Disability Representation
Neurological disruptions and visions serve as central plot devices. These function as tools for horror rather than nuanced portrayals of lived neurodivergent experiences.

AI Analysis
Tell Me How I Die functions as a standard genre-driven thriller that prioritizes survivalism over identity politics. The film succeeds in presenting a contemporary, multi-ethnic ensemble that avoids the homogeneous casting often seen in older horror films. However, the representation remains surface-level. While the characters avoid traditional gender tropes, the film lacks the intentionality needed to challenge social hierarchies or explore intersectional identities. The narrative's focus on clinical error and psychological visions keeps the themes firmly within the realm of horror mechanics. Ultimately, the film provides a moderate level of inclusion without engaging in deep social or cultural critique.
