New Showbiz Analysis

Unfriended explores cyberbullying through a narrow demographic lens. While the screenlife format offers a unique critique of digital social behavior, the human element lacks depth in reflecting multiple aspects of identity. The film's main issue with diversity is its homogeneity. By focusing on a group of white, middle-class teenagers, it misses the opportunity to examine how digital harassment impacts various communities or identities. Overall, the film serves as a conventional cautionary tale. It excels technically in digital storytelling but remains tied to a non-diverse social framework.
