Rats Corner is a gritty crime drama that prioritizes a critique of systemic issues over demographic diversity. It deconstructs the myth of law and order, presenting a world where traditional power structures are inherently flawed. The film excels at portraying the tension between individual justice and a corrupt social order. However, this thematic depth comes at the expense of characters who reflect more than one aspect of diversity, as the story remains rooted in traditional masculine storytelling clichés. Ultimately, the work is a localized exploration of institutional corruption rather than a diverse social tapestry.
