Os Infanticidas is a character-driven comedy that prioritizes psychological interiority over traditional social achievements. It explores the tension between individual autonomy and societal pressures. The film's strength lies in its thematic subversion of the 'adult' archetype. By focusing on the struggle to reach age thirty without losing one's essence, it offers a nuanced look at existential anxiety and moral relativism. However, the film remains somewhat opaque regarding specific demographic representation. While the themes lean towards progressive, non-conformist identities, the lack of explicit character descriptors for race, orientation, or disability prevents a more definitive assessment of its inclusivity.
Category Breakdown
The film touches on interpersonal relationships and existential concerns without specifying sexual orientations. Although the themes resonate with queer narratives, the absence of explicit labels limits the score.
The story challenges traditional markers of adulthood that often reinforce patriarchal structures. By presenting maturity as a source of fear, it breaks down conventional masculine and feminine roles tied to social integration.
A multicultural cast is implied by the diverse names in the credits. However, the narrative lacks specific details about racial dynamics or the overlapping identities of the characters.
The film critiques established social institutions by portraying adulthood as a threat to personal freedom. The idea of escaping to Paris suggests a rejection of conventional success and traditional life stages.
There is no explicit mention of characters dealing with physical or neurodivergent disabilities. However, the heavy focus on anxieties and fears highlights a deep exploration of psychological struggles.

Official Synopsis
Two friends promise that they will never grow up and that if they do, one day, they will end their own lives. Between the day of the promise and the day adulthood arrives, anxieties and fears, hopes and dreams make it difficult to reach the age of thirty. Reaching the milestone, after all, is as good as it is scary. Perhaps running away to Paris is the solution, but, as the conclusion goes, "we are all heroes at midnight, but cowards at nine in the morning." Does growing up mean compromising? Or do we remain just a little lost children playing this game of wanting to appear very adult?
