Snow White (1987) is a traditional fairy tale that adheres closely to the social norms of its time. The narrative follows a standard folkloric structure, emphasizing a heterosexual romance and a classic battle between a virtuous princess and a wicked stepmother. The film does not make intentional efforts to include diverse representations. It relies on established Western storytelling conventions, including royal lineage and a clear moral binary, without challenging these traditional hierarchies. Overall, the film serves as a typical family entertainment piece that reinforces traditional gender roles and Western cultural frameworks, rather than presenting diverse or progressive viewpoints.
