AI Analysis

Pet is a character-driven psychological thriller that prioritizes tension and power dynamics over demographic breadth. It succeeds in subverting traditional gendered tropes, moving away from the passive victim archetype through psychological warfare. However, the film lacks significant racial and LGBTQ+ representation, relying on a localized, homogeneous demographic. This narrow focus limits the film's social breadth despite its narrative complexity. Ultimately, the work earns its score by refusing to adhere to traditional moral binaries, opting instead for a relativistic exploration of control and dominance.
