Elections are approaching and things don't look too good for the opposition. Their leader can't stand the pressure and disappears. To avoid a scandal, the upper echelons of the party concoct a risky plan: to replace him with his identical twin, a philosopher with BPD, whose eclectic ideas and direct approach unexpectedly make the party surge in the polls.

LGBTQ+ Representation
The film lacks explicit mention of LGBTQ+ characters or non-heteronormative identities. While philosophical themes might allow for queer subtext, there is no confirmed evidence of specific identity depictions.
Gender Representation
The story centers on political machinations within traditionally patriarchal structures. However, replacing a standard leader with an intellectual philosopher suggests a moderate subversion of conventional masculine leadership archetypes.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
As an Italian production, the film features a standard European ensemble. There is no specific information regarding the casting of non-white actors or intentional intersectional representation.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The narrative offers a strong critique of Western political institutions and moral relativism. It prioritizes intellectual eccentricity and subjective truth over traditional political dogma and systemic stability.

AI Analysis
Long Live Freedom succeeds in deconstructing traditional power structures by centering its narrative on a neurodivergent protagonist. By making a character with BPD the catalyst for political change, the film moves beyond tropes to grant the character genuine agency. The film's strength lies in its intellectual critique of institutional integrity. It uses philosophical discourse to challenge the stability of political systems, offering a sophisticated look at how truth is manipulated for power. However, the film remains limited by a lack of visible diversity in other key areas. Without clear evidence of LGBTQ+ or racial representation, the film's progressive impact is concentrated primarily within its psychological and cultural themes.
