New Showbiz Analysis

Other People's Money is an intellectually engaging critique of corporate greed, but it lacks demographic diversity. The film’s strength lies in its postmodern skepticism of institutional authority and its nuanced exploration of moral relativism within the legal system. However, the film is set in a traditional, homogeneous demographic context. The portrayal of 1990s Wall Street is limited to a narrow perspective, offering little representation of diverse racial or LGBTQ+ identities. Ultimately, the film’s progressive value is found in its challenge to the sanctity of corporate hierarchy rather than its commitment to inclusive casting or diverse social perspectives.
