Brick Bardo is a traveller from outer space who is forced to land on Earth. Though regular sized on his home planet, he is doll-sized here on Earth, as are the enemy forces who have landed as well. While Brick enlists the help of an impoverished girl and her son, the bad guys enlist the help of a local gang. When word leaks out as to his location, and all hell breaks loose, Brick is besieged by an onslaught of curious kids, angry gang members, and his own doll-sized enemies, and he must protect the family who has helped him and get off the planet alive.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film lacks explicit LGBTQ+ characters or non-heteronormative romantic arcs. The narrative focuses strictly on survival and the central pursuit.
Gender Representation
The film subverts action tropes by centering a female protagonist as a hardened, authoritative officer. She possesses primary agency and professional competence, while the male counterpart remains more reactive.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
Casting leans toward a conventional urban landscape typical of early 90s cinema. While secondary characters include diverse gang members, the film lacks a centralized focus on non-white identities.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The story follows a straightforward law-enforcement structure without critiquing Western institutions or social structures. It functions as a standard sci-fi adventure rather than a social commentary.
Disability Representation
There is no significant focus on neurodivergence or physical disability. The characters' diminutive scale serves as a sci-fi plot device rather than an exploration of lived experience.

AI Analysis
Dollman stands out for its subversion of gendered power dynamics. By placing a woman in the role of a high-authority law enforcement officer, the film challenges the male-dominated archetypes of early 90s action cinema. However, the film remains tethered to traditional genre tropes. It lacks intersectional depth, offering little in the way of LGBTQ+ representation, racial complexity, or systemic social critique. Ultimately, while the gender inversion is a highlight, the narrative's reliance on standard sci-fi adventure structures limits its broader diversity impact.
