New Showbiz Analysis

Sonata is a specialized psychological study that prioritizes depth of character over broad demographic variety. Its strength lies in its sophisticated treatment of disability, specifically how a misdiagnosis of autism shifts into a discovery of hearing loss. This approach provides a complex look at identity and sensory experience. However, the film lacks multi-layered breadth, focusing heavily on a single male perspective within a culturally homogeneous Polish setting. It avoids wide social commentary but steers clear of stereotypical characterizations in its exploration of the protagonist's unique reality.
