AI Analysis

Swordfish is a quintessential postmodern thriller that prioritizes high-octane action and systemic skepticism over social representation. It succeeds in creating a world defined by moral ambiguity and the deconstruction of institutional stability, offering a sophisticated critique of Western power structures. However, the film remains tethered to traditional genre tropes. While the casting is cosmopolitan, the narrative does not use its diverse ensemble to deconstruct racial power dynamics or subvert established gender hierarchies. Ultimately, the film's impact is found in its cynical view of global capitalism and digital theft rather than its commitment to intersectional representation.
