Warsaw Dark is a psychological thriller that centers on a underrepresented woman caught in a political conspiracy. The narrative uses high-stakes assassination to explore how institutional forces manipulate and erode individual identity. While the film lacks explicit representation of diverse racial or LGBTQ+ groups, it succeeds in challenging traditional genre clichés. It places a underrepresented woman at the center, focusing on her traumatic experiences and systemic erasure. The film's strength lies in its thematic depth, using psychological manipulation as a metaphor for oppressive power structures. It provides a grim but meaningful critique of how authority can dismantle the self.

Official Synopsis
Prominent cinematographer Christopher Doyle continues to hone his talents as a director with this thriller set in Eastern Europe and inspired by the as-yet-unsolved murder of a Polish politician in 2001. A young prostitute is spending the evening with a prominent Polish official when he's suddenly assassinated in Warsaw. In the aftermath of the hit, the triggerman takes the prostitute to an apartment and subjects her to a complex personality replacement program designed to wipe out any memories she may have retained about the evening's events.
