Knockback is a character-driven psychological drama that emphasizes the ability to act of its female protagonist, Sylvia Barker. The film provides a nuanced exploration of mental health through the lens of depression and social isolation. However, it lacks multi-layered depth, focusing on a narrow social context without diverse racial or LGBTQ+ representation. The film's strength lies in its detailed character study and exploration of mental health, but it falls short in providing broader demographic inclusion.
