The egocentric documentary-maker Chris Waitt traces his romantic ineptitude and sexual impotence through awkward interviews with irate ex-girlfriends and stunts involving S&M parlours, Harley Street doctors and Viagra overdoses. The results are often hilarious, sometimes moving and speak directly to the hapless paramour in all of us.

Category Breakdown
LGBTQ+ Representation
The film explores unconventional sexual dynamics through visits to S&M parlors. However, it primarily focuses on the director's heterosexual romantic struggles rather than queer-centric narratives.
Gender Representation
Masculinity is presented as farcical and vulnerable rather than dominant. The inclusion of irate ex-girlfriends provides women with significant emotional agency and authority over the protagonist.
Racial & Ethnic Diversity
The narrative appears centered within a Western, urban context, specifically mentioning Harley Street. There is no explicit evidence of a diverse or non-Anglo-Saxon cast.
Religious & Cultural Diversity
The work rejects traditional moralistic views on courtship by embracing self-deprecation. It prioritizes secular, subjective experiences over conservative or religious social structures.
Disability Representation
The film focuses on sexual dysfunction as a theme of romantic ineptitude. There is no evidence of specific physical or neurodivergent disability representation.

AI Analysis
The documentary succeeds in deconstructing traditional masculine archetypes by centering on the protagonist's inadequacy and impotence. This subverts the trope of the dominant male lead, offering a more vulnerable, albeit farcical, portrayal of manhood. However, the film lacks significant intersectional depth. The narrative appears focused on a homogeneous social circle and lacks explicit evidence of LGBTQ+ agency or racial diversity, remaining largely within a Western, urban framework. Ultimately, the film is a study of social and sexual non-conformity that challenges traditional norms of romantic success, even if it does not achieve broad demographic representation.
