New Showbiz Analysis

Darkworld primarily operates within the conventional frameworks of the horror genre. While it avoids the cliché of the passive female victim by giving Fallon a position of power, it lacks broader diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, or LGBTQ+ identities. The film's focus remains on a metaphysical struggle between a soul huntress and an overlord. This narrow narrative scope results in a lack of visible racial, ethnic, or LGBTQ+ diversity. Ultimately, the work functions as a character-driven supernatural drama. It adheres to genre-specific clichés rather than attempting to challenge social or cultural norms.
