Minimal

The film shows no evidence of LGBTQ+ characters or narratives addressing non-cisnormative identities. It appears to lack any representation of queer life.

Gender Representation

Limited

The story centers on two male buddies, leaning into traditional tropes of male camaraderie. There is no indication of female agency or the subversion of masculine hierarchies.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Fair

While the setting in a third-world country implies an international cast, the focus remains on the American protagonists. The narrative risks a tourist-centric lens rather than deep intersectionality.

Limited

Strengths

  • The international setting provides a platform for diverse environments and global backdrops.

Areas for Improvement

  • The narrative lacks agency for local populations within the third-world setting.
  • The focus on male buddies reinforces conventional gendered archetypes.
  • The plot follows a Western-centric hero framework rather than critiquing institutional power.

AI Analysis

All About the Money follows a conventional adventure-comedy structure centered on American protagonists. The plot focuses on the competence of these characters as they attempt to capture a criminal in a developing nation. The film relies on established genre tropes, such as male camaraderie and Western-centric hero journeys. While the international setting provides a backdrop for diversity, the narrative lacks evidence of local agency or systemic critique. Ultimately, the film appears to prioritize mainstream entertainment over identity-driven subversion or the deconstruction of imperialist tropes.
