The Silencer stands out for its subversion of gendered power dynamics. By placing a woman in a position of lethal ability to act, the film avoids the typical damsel clichés of the early 90s action genre. While the film challenges moral and romantic norms, it lacks visible evidence of racial diversity or specific LGBTQ+ identities. The narrative focus remains heavily on the protagonist's individual struggle against systemic exploitation.
