Death Train is a classic 1990s action-thriller that prioritizes genre conventions over social representation. The narrative centers on a high-stakes geopolitical crisis, using a standard hero-versus-villain framework that reinforces existing power structures. The film does not intentionally address multi-layered identities, instead relying on traditional masculine archetypes and Western-centric viewpoints. It serves as a conventional piece of entertainment reflecting the cinematic norms of its time. Overall, the production offers little disruption to established social or gender dynamics, focusing on the mechanics of a tactical, bullet-packed assault to resolve international conflict.
