Category Breakdown

LGBTQ+ Representation

Minimal

The film focuses on a traditional survivalist arc centered on a heterosexual romantic pairing. There is no evidence of non-cisnormative identities or narratives that critique heteronormativity.

Gender Representation

Fair

Jenny is positioned as a central figure who must navigate extreme adversity. Her shift from a victim to an active participant suggests a departure from purely passive female archetypes.

Racial & Ethnic Diversity

Fair

The production origin suggests a non-Western centric environment. However, without explicit details regarding cast composition, the score reflects a baseline for non-Anglo-centric genre cinema.

Religious & Cultural Diversity

Fair

The setting frames urban environments as sites of chaos rather than protection. The film focuses on the visceral mechanics of an outbreak rather than explicit social critiques.

Disability Representation

Minimal

There is no evidence of characters navigating neurodivergence or physical disabilities. The zombie element functions as a biological horror trope rather than a nuanced exploration of disability.

Strengths

  • The protagonist, Jenny, provides a degree of female agency by actively navigating survival.
  • The film offers a non-Western centric perspective through its regional production context.

Areas for Improvement

  • The narrative lacks representation of LGBTQ+ identities or non-cisnormative perspectives.
  • There is no exploration of disability, neurodivergence, or chronic illness within the character arcs.
  • The story relies on traditional genre tropes rather than exploring systemic social or cultural critiques.

AI Analysis

Zombie Fight Club is a genre-driven survival horror film that prioritizes visceral tension and immediate physical stakes. The narrative follows standard tropes of the medium, focusing on a character's struggle to survive a sudden outbreak in a crime-ridden building. While the film avoids complex social commentary, it does offer some progress in gender representation. The protagonist, Jenny, demonstrates agency by actively driving her own survival rather than remaining a passive victim. Ultimately, the film adheres to traditional horror conventions. It lacks the multifaceted representation or intersectional depth required to move beyond a baseline genre experience.
