AI Analysis

Feng Shui succeeds as a culturally specific horror film that centers Filipino identity and local folklore. By utilizing indigenous superstitions, it avoids the white-normative lens common in global horror cinema. However, the film lacks engagement with modern intersectional frameworks. It offers little representation regarding LGBTQ+ identities, disability, or neurodivergence, focusing instead on a narrow social circle. While the female protagonist possesses agency, her character arc is tied to conventional domesticity. The film is a strong example of ethnic representation that remains limited in its broader social diversity.
