New Showbiz Analysis

Venom Coast is a typical survival horror film that emphasizes genre clichés over social commentary. The plot revolves around wealthy tech entrepreneurs facing a dangerous hunt, a scenario that reinforces established power structures and socioeconomic hierarchies. While the cast list indicates some diversity in terms of ethnicity and gender, the narrative itself does not use these elements to challenge broader societal hierarchies. The conflict is primarily a straightforward fight for survival rather than a vehicle for progressive deconstruction. Overall, the film serves as a standard thriller. It lacks representation for LGBTQ+ identities and disabilities, and it does not offer a critical perspective on the Western lifestyles it portrays.
