New Showbiz Analysis

The Dark Side of the Moon follows a traditional 1990s sci-fi horror trajectory, prioritizing supernatural suspense over demographic depth. The narrative is driven by a singular male protagonist, Paxton Warner, which reinforces conventional gender roles. Representation across racial and LGBTQ+ spectrums is absent from the known character details. The film leans heavily on Western religious clichés, specifically the concept of the Devil, to drive its central conflict. Ultimately, the film functions as a standard genre piece of its era, lacking intentional efforts to disrupt social hierarchies or provide nuanced, multi-layered perspectives.
