Bus Lane is a genre-driven comedy-action film that emphasizes local working-class social dynamics over diverse storytelling. The narrative depends on conventional character-conflict clichés, focusing on the volatility of service-sector workers and passengers. Although the film provides a non-Western perspective through its Thai origins, it does not actively challenge social hierarchies or prioritize diverse identities. The emphasis remains on the professional demeanor of the characters rather than broader social critiques. Overall, the film serves as a typical regional comedy. It offers a baseline of non-white representation but falls short in areas such as gender subversion or disability inclusion.
