New Showbiz Analysis

Richard Williams creates a technically advanced film that prioritizes surreal storytelling over conventional family narratives. By using dream logic, the film avoids rigid moralism and predictable structures. The film's strength lies in its subversion of traditional gender roles and its rejection of structured reality. However, the cartoonish cast limits its ability to address identity politics. While it avoids harmful stereotypes, the lack of explicit representation across various social categories results in a moderate overall score.
