AI Analysis
Camp (2014) is a thriller that centers on the subversion of gendered power dynamics. It moves away from traditional male-led survival tropes by positioning women as the primary drivers of both the trauma and the subsequent vengeance. The film excels in gender representation by transforming its female protagonists from victims into agents of retribution. This shift, supported by the introduction of a female vigilante, provides a strong sense of female agency. However, the film lacks breadth in other areas. There is no visible evidence of racial diversity, disability representation, or explicit LGBTQ+ identities, resulting in a score that reflects a narrow narrative focus.
