Camp (2014) is a thriller that centers on the subversion of gendered power dynamics. It shifts away from traditional male-led survival clichés by positioning women as the primary drivers of both trauma and retribution. The film excels in gender representation by transforming its female protagonists from victims into agents of retribution. However, the film lacks breadth in other areas. There is no visible evidence of racial diversity, disability representation, or explicit LGBTQ+ identities, resulting in a score that reflects a narrow narrative focus.
Category Breakdown
