AI Analysis
Buffalo Boys is a gritty coming-of-age drama that prioritizes a deconstruction of suburban life over intersectional representation. The narrative centers on a teenager's descent into criminality, using drug distribution to explore themes of identity and socio-economic pressure. The film gains thematic depth by challenging traditional social contracts and institutional values. However, it relies heavily on conventional tropes, particularly regarding gendered conflicts and romantic structures. Ultimately, the lack of visible diversity in character descriptions and a reliance on standard gender hierarchies limits the film's broader social scope.
